Summary
I conducted research on the emotional abuse of migrant domestic workers in Singapore for a local non-governmental organisation, the Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics. I produced literature reviews on international human rights frameworks, employment legislation and public health/psychology, acting as co-author for a publicly released final report. I also facilitated Focus Group Discussions with 22 migrant workers, conducted data transcription & analysis and contributed to policy recommendations on abuse prevention.

2. Designing online education & training materials on gender/sexual minorities and human rights

Summary
I currently work with a global volunteer team on educational initiatives at ReportOUT, a human rights organisation for sexual and gender minorities. I am part of a newly-established education & training team, where I co-produce training materials on gender, sexuality and human rights for ReportOUT‘s upcoming online trainings and MOOCs.

Summary
Over 2 years, I took on progressive leadership positions at Yale-NUS’ gender & sexuality student organisation. I spearheaded a variety of programmes related to gender and LGBTQ+ rights. These included HIV education and testing; sexual assault survivor support; closed-door dialogues on sensitive topics (e.g. female sexuality, queerness & religion); panel discussions; networking events. As President, I also oversaw general strategy, budgeting, external relations and yearly programming for the organisation.
4. Providing pro-bono translation services on global health and migrant rights issues

Summary
From 2017 onward, I have occasionally provided pro-bono translating services between English, French, Italian and Spanish on several health & social justice issues – including translating global health and bioethics research abstracts into English, and providing oral and written translation for NGOs in the United States supporting Spanish-speaking asylum seekers.
